The Universidad Santo Tomás has approved a new Master’s degree in Criminology and Criminal Public Policy for a seven-year term as part of the SuCCESS project.

The Universidad Santo Tomás is the most recent university to get approval for a new criminology course within the framework of the Success project, achieving another of the project’s key goals.

In recent weeks, the University received confirmation from Colombia’s Ministry of National Education of the approval of the Master’s degree in Criminology and Criminal Public Policy to be offered via virtual format in Bogotá for a term of seven years.

The new master’s degree will be officially launched on October 24th and 25th, 2023, during the International Congress of Criminology: Criminological and Penitentiary Approaches to Sentences in Contemporary Globalisation. Some of the SuCCESS consortium’s professors, including Pilar Tarancón (UCLM) and Ludmila Ribeiro (UMG), will participate in the event. The event will include world-renowned individuals such as Eugenio Raúl Zaffaroni, Maximo Sozzo, Luigi Ferrajoli, Iñaki Ribeira Beiras, and Colombia’s Vice-Minister of Justice.
