From October 17th to November 15th, a group of 16 South American professors will go to the Miguel Hernández University in Spain, the Portuguese Catholic University and the University of Porto in Portugal to have the opportunity to share, learn, and collaborate between the European and South American university partners.
During October and November, a group of 16 South American professors (6 from USP (Brazil), 2 from UFMG (Brazil), 2 from UNMSM (Peru) and 6 from UCSP (Peru) will participate and promote the exchange of knowledge between South American and European universities in Spain and Portugal.
The first mobility will occur at the Miguel Hernández University in Elche, Spain, between October 17th and 25th. This mobility programme includes workshops about the educational offer at UMH, and several topics like the convergences and divergences between European and Latin American criminologies, domestic violence, experimental penal law, technology and crime and study visits to UMH facilities and local police.
The second mobility will take place from October 27th to November 5th at the Portuguese Catholic University in Porto, Portugal. This mobility programme includes debates and workshops on human rights and power, juvenile justice, substance use and addiction, and pedagogical strategies in criminology and will include a visit to the university and the prison in Porto.
The third mobility takes place from November 7th to November 15th at the University of Porto in Portugal. During this week, the professors will have the opportunity to visit the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences of UP, a drug addiction dissuasion service institution and participate in workshops on topics like developmental criminology, organized crime and economic-financial crime and many others.
