Sill under evaluation for approval, the new master’s degree will soon be ready and launched by the Department of Psychology
Besides leading and managing the consortium, the São Paulo University is also renovating its educational offer in the area of criminology. The department of Psychology is designing an innovative post-graduation specialization in criminology addressing professionals.
The new curse will focus on the most recent theories and technical-scientific advances of Criminology according to scientific literature. It will bring an updated approach to the scientific expertise of the area, aiming to ground improvements in the daily professional practice of professionals, including training in scientific research.
This later feature is in fact one of the innovative aspects of this new course as the participants will be invited to carry out a research project with faculty teachers’ supervision.
The multi-methods approach from different theoretical and scientific perspectives, seeking their integration, is a central element in the theoretical and practical activities of the course, an innovative aspect of Latin American reality.
